True Colours

Keep on cutting the items on the list

Double check.

When it’s time to drink your vows,

There shall be nothing left in the cup.

You shall drink

To a forbidden life

On empty wishes.

That, my friend; is life,

In its truest colours.

Seen and unseen.

There and not.

Gone forever; the fervour,

The light. Love not what thou hast,

Let go of the strings of that which you want.

Hate what ought to be cherished.

Grasp what ought not.

And you shall have lived beautifully

Like the quiet ripples that disturb the peace of

Still waters.
